Freshers Diary: How A Sachet Of Water Saved Me
One of the major features of being healthy is making sure you stay hydrated at all times. One of my unforgettable experiences about staying hydrated was a time during my first year that I almost lost consciousness because I did not take water for a long time.
It was during my second semester examination period in 100L in a month that the sun always tortures Ogbomoso residents. Unfortunately, we were scheduled to have MTH102, the only 5 units in the second semester, on one of those days in that month. I was grouped in LODL Center (a center for CBT examinations), batch 4 candidates, so I am to enter the center by 11 am.
I woke up this particular day sleep-starved, and got dressed for my MTH examination. After taking my bath and getting dressed, it was 9:30 in the morning. However, I was nervous about the examination. I left my hostel immediately hoping that I would get in early and go to sleep.
On getting to the LODL center I was dumbfounded when I heard that the first batch had not been able to write their exam due to a poor network server.
It was a very horrible experience because I had to wait till 4 pm before I wrote my exam and about 10 people fainted on that day due to exhaustion. I almost lost consciousness likewise, if not for a friend that got me a sachet of water. It was one tough day but water saved me.
In the same vein, ensure you stay hydrated every step of your way on campus.
