My name is Ojo Helen Ayomide, a 400 level student of Food Science of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso, Oyo state. I'm doing my Industrial Training at AGM Agricultural Global Concepts at Ogbomoso, Oyo state.

How did you get there?

I got to know of the place through a departmental mate after which i went there for an interview. I was interviewed by the CEO and was told to commence my internship.

What does the firm/organization do?

The firm is into cashew processing; to process the nut and its raw form to edible forms such as cashew nut.

Suggest other places where people in your department can train?

As a student studying food science, they can have the training at any food processing companies, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals and food laboratories.

Interesting things about the place?

AGM is such a place to be, we the, Interns are trained in other aspects like research and development, and product development, other than the cashew nut processing alone.

What are the challenges you face every day since you started your IT?

The transportation fare is high. The place is far from where I stay, with the increase in fuel price thereby making it more expensive. I spend #1000 daily on transportation.

What have you learned other than things related to academics?

I have learnt to think beyond the box, beyond the reading, know how to apply the knowledge to the current outside world.

From your brief experience, which is easier? Work or School?

I choose work, because I learn new things 'practically' other than just attending lectures, writing notes and reading for examinations.

Has your IT program contributed to your academic and personal life?

Yes, academically, it has helped my learning ability. Personally, it has shown a glimpse of how life would look like after school.
