Industrial Training 2024: Owoade Funminiyi

Brief Introduction

My name is Owoade Funminiyi Faith, a 400 level student of Architecture of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology Ogbomoso, Oyo state. I'm doing my Industrial Training at IBW Consults at Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo state.

How did you get there?

I got to know of the place through one of my mother's friend and then I submitted the letter to the firm. I was not interviewed by the boss before i started working there.

What does the firm/organization do?

The firm is known to supervise sites and design building plans for prospective clients

Suggest other places where people in your department can train?

They can do their training in any building and construction companies,local governments and ministry of power,works and housing

What was the first shock you experienced?

Well, in normal office settings. Workers come early but here you can resume by 9 or 10am.

Interesting things about the place?

There is nothing really interesting about the place though.

What are the challenges you face every day since you started your IT?

None. They're really friendly and they teach explicitly.

What have you learned other than things related to academics?

I have leanrt unity and hospitality.

From your brief experience, which is easier? Work or School?

School. I have to wake up 5am everyday because the place of my training is far from where I stay.

Has your IT program contributed to your academic and personal life?

Yeah. In my academics aspect, I didn't know how to use software but now I am getting pretty good at it, and in my personal life, before I hate sleeping and waking up very early but I like it now, even though am not used to it yet.
