LAUTECH Graduate Tags Elon Musk with his CV on Twitter
On Friday, 17th October, 2024, Abdulrahmon Solahudeen, a fresh LAUTECH graduate from the department of Computer Engineering began trending on Twitter because he posted his Curriculum Vitae (CV) on Twitter and tagged Elon Musk with the caption in quotes below
“Hey, Elon Musk Here is my CV” after his recent post with the caption “Hey @elonmusk, I’m out of Varsity. Now a certified computer engineer from the great @lautechofficial. It won’t be a bad Idea to join the @SpaceX team as a computer engineer”
In an interview with Abdulrahmon Solahudeen. He said that life after school has not really set in, because he is still fresh and not really out of school. Highlighting that he is just carrying on with his skill, trying to get better everyday.
Abdulrahmon said that beyond the school walls he has learnt to create an opportunity for himself or else he won't get one, which was one of the driving forces behind the twitter post he made on 17th October.
“The fact that I want to find myself in an emerging tech company and also get a job, and also get to innovate things prompted that post. Infact, I’m a fan of tech and innovation, " Abdulrahmon said.
Abdulrahmon also said that his realisation of his status being changed from undergraduate to graduate was like the notification in his heart for the immediate job hunting. In his words,
'I'm done with my project, and the picture I posted was from my final defense. Academically, everything's complete. For anyone graduating, the next big step after defending your project is finding a place that aligns with your dreams and preparing for that ideal job. I've earned my BTech and already know my final grade. Now, I'm left with post academics runs. As I see it, I'm already a graduate. I have my sights set on jobs at SpaceX and Tesla, which could be remote or on-site. If on-site, it wouldn't be in Nigeria, so NYSC wouldn't hold me back. Thinking about all this really pushes me to give my best and start planning for the future!"
However, Abdulrahmon said he would accept any job offer from a Nigerian firm at the moment and hone his skills.
Abdulrahmon further said that he feels very good for the reactions on the twitter space, because they give him hope that he is a step towards his goal.
