LAUTECH Inducts New Graduate Engineers Across Seven Departments
On the 14th of July, 2021, a new set of graduate engineers from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, were inducted into The Nigerian Society Of Engineers. Of this student populace which cuts across all the Seven Engineering departments, 112 were female.
The 15th induction ceremony took place at The Great Hall, and the ceremony for 2019/2020 session kicked off around 11 am.
It was well attended by lecturers of the institutions, guests, graduate engineers, students, family members and well-wishers.
The guest speaker, Engr Dr. (Mrs) Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo, an alumna of the institution, enjoined the new engineers to work hard, pray hard and stay focus in all that they engage in. She further advised them to go the extra mile and put in their best, amidst other words of advice and encouragement.
Following protocols, all the new graduate engineers of the institution took the oath, led by Engr. Adekunle Isiaka Adeniran, the Chairman, NSE Ogbomosho Branch, who represented the President, NSE.
The representative of Engr. Funmilola Ojelade, APWEN President also inducted the 112 female engineers right after the general induction into NSE. She further encouraged the new female inductees to strive well in their field as they are unique.
Prizes were presented to the best students in each department by some of the guests in attendance. Special honours and prizes were also presented by APWEN, the Guest Speaker, LAUTECH Mech Alumni(2004) and NSE, Oyo State.
