LAUTECH Inducts 520 Graduates Into the Nigerian Society Of Engineers
Today, Thursday, 7th March 2024, the Nigerian Society Of Engineers in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and Technology LAUTECH, held her 18th Engineering Induction for the 2022/2023 engineering graduates at the Great Hall.
The program commenced in the morning with the chorus of the National Anthem, State Anthem, and School Anthem respectively.
Afterward, a keynote address was given by the representative of the acting Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Tunde Ogunkunle. Then, Engineer Dr. Mrs. AA Sulaimon proceeded to read the citation of the guest speaker, Engineering Fadipe Oladele(A graduate of Civil Engineering from LAUTECH).
In Engr Fadipe's speech, he urged the new inductees to identify their passion and interest and also advised them to invest in research and study, build strong networks, and play an active role via social media.
Also, each best-graduating student was awarded a cash prize of #100,000 donated by one of the guest speakers, and the award was presented by Professor Tunde Ogunkunle.
The best graduating students are Adesoye Israel Oluwaferanmi from the Agricultural Engineering department; Oladoja Israel Ololade from Chemical Engineering; Akintayo Zainab Olaitan from Civil Engineering; Ajayi Peter Adewale from Computer Engineering; Fajinmi Ifeoluwa Olajide Electronic And Electrical Engineering! Aderemi Rodah Favour from Food Engineering & Olasode Olaoluwa Miracle Mechanical Engineering. The overall best graduating student was Oladoja Israel Ololade was also awarded.
Furthermore, the EEE CLASS '05 ALUMNI AWARD also awarded the best student from the department, and the best graduating male student is Fajinmi Ifeoluwa Olajide. The best graduating female student is Abolade Tikrisit Joana. Notably, a total of 520 Engineering students were inducted which comprises 461 males and 59 females.
