My Industrial Training 2024: Adejinmi Stephen
Brief Introduction.
I'm Adejinmi Stephen Adeyemi, A 400 level student of Ladoke Akintola university of technology (LAUTECH), department of Animal Production and health.
How did you get there, and what work do you do? Suggest other places where people in your department can train.
I did my IT at Taghini foods limited,Ogunwole farm, New garage, Ibadan,Oyo state. I got to know about the place through a departmental friend named Sikemi. She told me about the farm and I went further to research about it.
What was the first shock you experienced?
My first shock was that people were quiting the job and the farm management were not doing anything about it. I later discovered that they don't care about their staff as long as the birds are okay.
I did a 3 man job for 7 days, I was neither commanded nor compensated. So I had to leave the place to continue my IT at another farm in Ogbomoso.
What are the interesting things about the place?
One of the most interesting things I learnt is Teamwork and how we share ideas, we motivate one another and get along well.
What are the challenges you face since you started your IT?
The most challenging thing is the nonchalant attitude of the employers towards the employees.
What are the news things that you have learned other than things related to academics?
During the cause of my internship I learnt about leadership, how to manage people and also time management.
From your brief experience, which is easier? Work or School?
Well, I can't choose because both has their peculiarities and it depends on one's discipline and how well one is good with time management.
Has your IT program contributed to your academic and personal life?
Internship experience has helped me to be more organized, taught me about time management, taking responsibility and relating with people.
