I have known the members of my team since our 200-level days, and over time, I have observed and recognized their unique potentials. For instance, Olusanya Ayodeji has previously won a competition with his personal project and excels in presentations. Another member, Ojiaku Precious, is not only a good friend from my department but also a highly skilled app developer proficient in Dart and Flutter, making her an invaluable asset to our Team.
While having a close relationships with your team member may not work for everyone, I always emphasize the distinction between friendship and business. Even if disagreements arise between us personally, we will always work to achieving our goals as a team then sort personal issues later.
For our fourth team member, I specifically sought someone with expertise in embedded systems engineering and strong presentation skills. Earlier this year, I came across a video made by Ojoawo Rosemary during her application for Nigeria Genius 2024. Her articulation, experience, and confidence convinced me she was the perfect fit for our team. A few months later, I invited her to join us for a competition, and since then, our collaboration has been exceptional, yielding significant successes due to the collective strengths of the team.
How do you get to know people with the same mindset sir?
Thank you for this great question.
